Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has finally landed in theaters, and to help celebrate, the official game and a collection of Guardian comics are on sale in the Google Play Store. The collection of Guardian comics is running at 50% off, and the game, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon, is just $1.99.
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon (TUW) is a real time action RPG style game that hit the Google Play Store just a couple weeks ago for $5. The game lets you take control of a team of your favorite GotG heroes in more than 60 levels of gesture based combat in Story Mode, or duke it out with a bunch of villains in the Arena Mode.
Best of all, this app has no in-app payments and does not require an internet connection to play. This is a wonderful change from many other games that have been bleeding us of our hard earned money so that we can progress in their virtual worlds. Not pointing fingers, Spider-Man.
Those comics I mentioned are a small assortment of individual editions and multi-edition collections and books. Going by the titles and covers, you should find some X-Men and Avengers crossovers here too.
Head on over to the Google Play Store to grab Guardians of the Galaxy: TUW for 60% off, and grab a comic or two at a nice savings as well. Just a little heads-up, the game does not support ART, sorry.
As far as movie licensed games go, what do you think of the unique story line provided in Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon?
